Combi-Matic

An open aviary for layers wich transforms into enriched cages or Mini Aviaries with a few moves.

2 or 3 tiers systems easy to be closed. Every tier equipped with nest space, feeding, drinking, perches, and light. Plastic coated floor mesh. Nest space accessible form 2 sides. Eggs roll on to an egg collectionbelt, out of reach of the hens. Pen lights (LED light hoses) make sure the hens easily find feed and water. A number of perches provide sufficient rest space for the hens.

All decks are fully equipped (feeding, drinking, nest boxes, perches, light, plastic coated flooring. The feed chain , full circle in every deck, feed trough with crimped feed-space and central perch. The nests are always accessible for the laying hens, no closing of the nests, no expulsion system, no bruising of the hens, no dirty nest inlays. The hens can use the nest at any time , it is considered usable area.
Out of nest eggs (eggs laid outside the nest area) are automatically collected with the egg belts.
The perches are of different materials, like: 1 inch metal pipes, 28 x 28mm PVC pipe, and metal profiles. Hens will individually chose thier preferred resting place. Light is placed in the centre of the system, no area is left out.
Drinking lines (Lubing nipple drinkers) are also placed in the centre below the light assuring the birds drink and feed.
The flooring is plastic coated and offers the hens an appropriate running surface, free of zinc spikes. The huge self-cleaning effect prevents manure sticking to it.
With an optional accessory the Combi-Matic Aviary can be closed with a mesh, for example when layers are housed or in case of disease.
The absolute highlight of the Combi-Matic Aviary is: it can easily be converted into a "Mini-Aviary"should the actual legislation change.
It is a developed version of an aviary which takes a bit of risk off the layer farmer when deciding in what layer system to invest.
